Léry-Poses Leisure Park is located 1 hour from Paris and 15 minutes from Rouen. The park features a watersports arena for elite athletes, measuring 2,060 m long and 100 m wide. The complex is open to all users. Nearby (less than 1 km away), there is athlete accommodation, meeting rooms, a restaurant, and storage facilities. The arena can be accessed by water (via Lac du Mesnil) from the accommodation and restaurant. The leisure park’s secluded rural setting makes it the ideal place for athletes to prepare mentally and physically. Athletes can practise both disciplines on the River Seine. The leisure park is the ideal Olympic training base, having regularly hosted the French Canoe and Kayak Sprint Championships.
The complex, located 2 hours 30 minutes from Paris, 10 minutes from the centre of Le Havre and 15 minutes from the coast, is home to France’s oldest rowing club. It is a regular training base for many international rowers. In 2016, the French Women’s Rowing Team held its final training camp at the complex before the Head of the River Race in London. The complex is designed for elite athletes. It is practical, easy to access, and provides ideal rowing conditions whatever the weather.
